Gina's Philosophy

Gina likes to classify herself as a “liberal” Registered Dietitian. She believes in having everything in moderation (even moderation). She is passionate about challenging society’s disordered norms and battling the “diet” culture with intuitive eating and body positivity. Her goal is to support her clients in achieving personal growth through effective counseling and compassionate care.

In 2015, she conducted and presented research exploring the relationship between social media and disordered eating within the college population at the annual New York State Dietetic Association Meeting and Poster Session. During July of that year, she had the opportunity to spend time in Dubrovnik, Croatia learning about the Mediterranean Diet. These studies included health benefits, cooking techniques, and lots of tasting opportunities.

"Gina has walked beside me on my healing journey with compassion and wisdom. More importantly,  she has helped me unearth and tap into my OWN  wisdom.  So much more than a meal planner or nutrient counter, she has been a guide down into the muck and mire to where the core of my eating disorder resides. I am hopeful, possibly for the first time, to truly heal."

In addition to being a part of the NourishRX team, Gina works at Newton-Wellesley Hospital as a Clinical Inpatient Dietitian, seeing patients of all ages with a variety of clinical conditions.  During her spare time, Gina loves to visit with family and friends, sing, explore new places, and choreograph contemporary, modern, and hip hop dance pieces. She likes to greet each day with a mantra from Mother Teresa: “Let no one ever come to you without leaving better and happier.”
